Latest reading
As of August 19, 2026, Australia 10Y (Australia 10-year yield (%)) stands at 5.05% — down from 5.09% the prior reading, 11.45 pp below the August 1982 record of 16.50%. Australia is a high-yielding developed market with a commodity-linked currency, so its 10-year usually sits above the US, Germany and Japan. Read the spread against the US 10-year for the carry that supports (or undermines) the Australian dollar, and the level against its own history for the cycle. Series history runs from 1969 to present.
